The FYRE Art Gallery is a space created for and dedicated to Southern lesbian, gay, bi, trans, same gender loving, youth and our allies to share and connect our experiences through art. With our new site now active, we are asking for your contributions to help grow our gallery. We want you to send in your paintings, writings, photos, collages, drawings, videos and other works of art, thoughts and inspirations, and reflections to us.

- What kind of relationships or communities do you want or dream of?
- What would you need to have the relationships you dream of?
- How do you take care of yourself (physically, mentally, spiritually) and the people you love?
- Who are your communities and what’s WONDERFUL about your communities?

- How can you share and inspire other Southern LGBTQ youth and allies with your art?
Our Values:
FYRE is committed to working from an oppression free space. That means, we know that racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, sizeism and other forms of oppression exist in the world and are real. We ask that you send art that is coming from an oppression free place as well. For example, please do not send in art that puts down people of color, women, lesbian, gay, bi, transgender folks, poor or working class people, fat folks or people of size and people with physical or mental disabilities.*
Our goal is to provide something that honors individuals and communities that are too often put down or silenced.

When emailing us your art submissions, please be sure to include the title and your name or “pen name” so we can credit you.
If you are submitting works that show images of yourself or others, you may be asked to complete a release form before we can post your works to the website. If you will be submitting video or any type of media uploaded to the web, please click here for helpful tips on how to stay safe.
Because we are not a large staff, we would prefer to receive submissions through email as attachments. If the attachment is too large for standard e-mail clients, such as Google, there are many free online services, such as www.transferbigfiles.com, that will send the file to a specified e-mail address for you. If you absolutely can’t send in your work via internet, you may also mail your submissions to:

Please do not send us your originals or one-and-only copy as we will not be able to send them back to you. We reserve the right to make editorial changes but will do our best to maintain your works original form.
While we’d like everybody’s work to get up on the website, we cannot promise that all submissions will make it onto the site. Please be patient with us as we update the FYRE Art Gallery.
