Volunteer with FYRE because you’re creative. Because you have skills to share and skills to learn. Because you have extra time, or because you just love us!
By volunteering with FYRE, you will:
- Directly impact the lives of LGBTQ youth and LGBTQ youth of color by supporting their work.
- Connect with the only LGBTQ, reproductive justice, and youth driven community program in Atlanta.
- Work with other brilliant, fierce individuals like yourself.
- Enjoy supporting an environment that’s committed to creating safe empowering spaces for LGBTQ youth of color.
In order to be a volunteer, there are a few simple steps to take.
Step One: Take a few minutes to fill out a volunteer questionnaire.
Step Two: Chat with someone from the program to learn more about what we do, ask questions, figure out the perfect task for you.
Step Three: Start Volunteering!
Some Criteria for Volunteering:
- You do not need a certain skill or background, but you do need to be committed to youth leadership and committed to anti-oppression work.
- You may be asked to volunteer in the SPARK office or out in the community during either the week or on weekends.
- Please be open to growth, laughter, hard work, and fun.
Please note that this program is still fairly new and volunteer coordination is really new for us. We ask for your patience as we work out the details. At this time, volunteers tasks are not consistent and are fulfilled based on program and member needs.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
